I will be exhibiting at The Little Gallery at Broad Canvas, Broad Street, Oxford from 4th February – 4th March 2019. The exhibition ‘Dylan Thomas’ features 16 paintings of the Welsh poet.
My interest in Dylan Thomas began as an art student in South Wales in the 1960s. One of my first exhibitions as a young painter was to illustrate Dylan Thomas’ 1954 radio play, Under Milk Wood. My more recent portraits were created in response to his centenary year in 2014. Many were exhibited in South Wales and have also been used to illustrate conferences and events in the UK and abroad. Two of the paintings in this exhibition were featured in ‘Dylan Thomas: A Centenary Celebration‘, A book about Dylan Thomas written by his grand daughter, Hannah Ellis.
This October I will be exhibiting at The Little Gallery, upstairs at Broad Canvas, 20 Broad Street, Oxford. The exhibition is titled ‘Artists and Their Work, an exhibition of paintings by Peter Ross’ and features a range of my recent paintings featuring artists, including Pablo Picasso, Christopher Wood, Edvard Munch, Edgar Degas, Rene Magritte, Paula Rego, Marc Chagall, Gustav Klimt, Amedeo Modigliani, Wassily Kandinsky and Diego Rivera.
This Autumn I will be exhibiting my work as part of two exhibitions at The Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock:
